I highly recommend this course. Anya gently and kindly led us through 8 weeks of self discovery encouraging us at all times to remain compassionate and kind to ourselves through all of the practices. I have left the course feeling like I have a much better understanding of how anxiety plays out in the body and have been given a large toolbox to help manage it when it does. I particularly loved the yoga practices and I loved how Anya encouraged us to really listen to our body not what we think our body should be able to do. I have been wary of sessions that speak about mindfulness - I have been to a few before and the things that are said make a lot of sense, but I have never been able to adapt/practice it when I am on my own. I think your sessions have done it for me, it has made me more aware of the physical manifestations of anxiety, so now I can sense an onset and am learning to deal with it in a more constructive way. I have come to be more accepting and forgiving of my feelings. It's still going to be a long learning curve but the sessions have given me the tools that help me get started. I am definitely grateful for the time we have spent together.

This is probably one of the best courses I have ever attended. I thought I knew a fair amount about how to manage my anxiety, but I learned so much more on this course. The balance of theory and practice was just perfect and Anya's gentle and encouraging teaching was really inspiring. She obviously knows a great deal about both anxiety and mindfulness and this really shone through. Her generosity in setting up groups and sharing really useful resources were greatly appreciated. I really enjoyed this program! Anya was so knowledgable and helpful; always being very clear that we should only go as far as what feels right for our body and not push ourselves too far. The theory was very impactful and gave me tools that I can utilise in my daily life going forward. I was hesitant to go on video in the beginning of the course; but I found it was a great way to connect with the other participants and I quickly felt safe and supported. I found the course very enlightening as it was my first introduction to mindfulness and makes you question your anxiety and how you deal with it. I came to understand the aim was to acknowledge the feelings of anxiety rather than completely block it out . The breathing techniques and meditations were particularly beneficial. I enjoyed the yoga and Anya adapted it to suit an injury I had at the time and emphasised listen to your body so you didn’t feel under pressure to create the perfect pose.

I found the course helped me to understand the practice of mindfulness much better and enabled me to get into a routine of practising on a daily basis. It was also good to be on a course with other people as it helps to realise that we all have similar anxiety difficulties and we are not alone. A few difficult situations came up in my life whilst on this course and the practise definitely helped me deal with them differently and in a calmer way.

This anxiety yoga course has been fantastic in helping decrease anxiety, learning techniques to use going forward (for anxiety & yoga) plus helping reduce intensity &/or frequency of a chronic illness symptoms......definitely highly recommend to help both body & mind.......including disabled people like myself as one does what they can within boundaries of their disabilities A++++

I love the different types of exercises we experienced each week for mindfulness as some I couldn't relate to but others I could so I didn't feel like a failure. It's finding one that suits. The breathing techniques I have started practicing at least twice a day. Again this was made clear on when we could snatch moments of practice throughout the day. Far more manageable.

Such a thoughtful course, it helped me understand my anxiety, rather then distracting myself with things the course taught me to face the anxiety more and accept it as a physical response. I love all the different types of meditating and working with the breath, its not just about sitting still with your thoughts. Thank you Anya :)
